This course will address emergency situations and health concerns in child care centers and family child care homes, including on field trips. The participants will learn to write comprehensive emergency plans for their programs that will incorporate licensing regulations.

Goals and Objectives
In this course, participants will:

  1. Describe potential safety hazards, list prevention strategies, and discuss emergency responses.
  2. Identify natural disaster threats, list preparation strategies, and discuss emergency responses.
  3. Develop an Emergency Preparedness Plan for a Child Care Center or Family Child Care Home using Oklahoma licensing requirements.
  4. Describe potential health risks, list prevention strategies, and discuss treatment options.
